History:

Ordered by Mr. Paul the CALLOC of the River mouth-wrac' H, the ARVOR is a sloup built in 1960 with the shipyard Plouguernéen Theophilus the GOT.
It is not like the main part of constructions the GOT conceived for the harvest of the goémon but for inshore fishing and the pleasure, this construction is distinguished from the pigouilleurs by his table postpones more gripped, it traine less water than the others sloups of the manufacturer. Its gréement houari, the bronze of all upperworks, its bôme with varnished roller and its espars shows well this first incursion of the GOT towards the pleasure. Sold in 1970 to Mr. Lucien OGOR of Lilia-Plouguerneau it is then motorized, one-cylinder SAAB 10cv, it sails until 2002 with the engine, consequently its output with the veil is some strongly faded, imbalance of wet surface, small the sloup is not any more in its lines, and is penalized by a genuine brake which is the three-bladed propeller whose cavitation is really too important. Mr. OGOR quite naturally dismantles it. The gréement complete one and the veils out of cotton will be preserved well at dryness in the high part of a barn during 30 years.

In July 2002, the general state of the boat requires a dry setting:
- Change of the bench (rotted)
- Caulking of the groove
- Replacement of the back trunk
- Screwing of some bordered
- Reinstallation and adjustment of gréement, Mr. OGOR having preserved to the ropes and listenings and same manilles.

the 1st repair:

This year 2003 Arvor is thus regrée in the sailing ship and sails between River mouth-wrac' H and the bay of Korréjou around the Vierge island and the plate of Lizen, with the veil if the wind is favorable or with the engine in the strong currents.
Its field of activity did not change: small inshore fishing (mackerels, lieus, bars, lobsters, crabs) or ballades at the day with picnic in the islands of Stagadon or the island Wrac' H, but the ceaseless jolts of one-cylinder on bordered shake the hull. The 40 year old nails release the ones after the others and small the sloup takes the water on all sides.
The complete reclouage of the hull becomes essential. The enlightened opinion of Jean-Louis the GOT wire of Theophilus, him even manufacturer of boat is required, it is to the point: if the blade of a knife passes between the floor timber and bordered, the boat is to be nailed again. Here a screwdriver passed.....
Arvor at 44 years. Only serious repair consisted in nailing again all bordered, after having listened to several specialists the choice in the screws stainless instead of galvanized nails was essential, less shocks with the boat and bad quality of the current galvanized nails.

Hull exposed before screwing of bordered, made it possible to see the various wood turpentines employed by Le GOT, elm, gniangon, oak and fir tree.

the 2nd repair: The boat was left water on November 8, 2003.
500 working hours in family, 2000 screws stainless were necessary, Several bordered were changed and the floor timbers postpones all doubled.
Sphere of activity:
Nautical gatherings River mouths, Brest 2004, Ploumanac' H and Douarnenez 2006....., spectacle "pêcheurs de goémon" without forgetting all the good occasions to find itself on water with other old men gréements or traditional boats.

Arvorwith the course of the goat by force 5 gusts with 6. (7 turns of rollers in the bôme)
